Candle Care

To enjoy your candles fully while maintaining the highest level of safety, it is essential to practice proper care during every use. Secure and pleasant use begins with constant supervision. Always keep a burning candle within your direct line of sight. To ensure safety, keep candles completely out of reach of children and pets. Never burn a candle near anything that can catch fire, and choose a well-ventilated area to ensure the best performance. It is also important to keep the flame away from drafts, ceiling fans, or air currents. Keeping the surrounding room temperature between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit helps create the ideal environment for a clean, even burn.

Proper preparation is key to a perfect experience. Before lighting your candle, remove all packaging, tags, and decorations from the container. Place the candle on a heat-resistant surface, keeping it far away from other heat sources or appliances. Always trim the wick to one-quarter of an inch before every burn. Once you extinguish the flame, gently center and straighten the wick while the wax is still warm and soft. If the candle begins to smoke, put out the flame and trim the wick slightly shorter before relighting. Keep the wax pool free of debris, such as match pieces, wick trimmings, or dust, as these materials can cause soot and ruin the burn quality.

Following consistent habits will greatly extend the life of your candle. We recommend letting the candle burn for three to four hours during each session, allowing the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface. To protect the glass jar from cracking, stop burning the candle once only a quarter-inch of wax remains at the bottom. Be aware that the glass container will get hot during use, so handle it with extreme care. Avoid exposing the candle to sudden changes in temperature, which can damage the glass. Allow the candle to cool completely to room temperature before lighting it again. If you are burning more than one candle at a time, place them at least eight inches apart to prevent overheating. Following these steps is the best way to protect your home and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere. Ignoring these safety guidelines can result in damage or injury, so please handle every candle with care.
